To get an idea of the specialised skill development Owen pursues some of his professional development record is here.
Owen does NOT specialise in some fields and and lacks training and experience in the areas of:
Pregnancy termination counselling
Fixed delusional thoughts
Serious or life threatening eating disorders
Polyamory
Gender identity or sexual preference issues. (a client’s preferred goals in this area will be respected and not determined by the therapist if counselling is still sought)
Intravenous street drug use
RIsky alcohol use if the potential client will not seek involvement in an outpatient alcohol and other drug programme
Gender transition
Psychometric testing for assessing specific learning difficulties
People younger that 18 (NB Privacy Laws now require files of children be held until the former client is 25 years old; whilst the clinician has many years experience counselling this age group I am too close to retirement to be able to handle subpoenas into my senior years)
